The M4 Special Operation comes with the ASTER processor unit from the Polish company GATE. It ensures safe switching, protects internal parts, improves trigger response, extends battery life, increases the rate of fire, and enables the use of Li-Pol batteries (7.4V and 11.1V). Additionally, it allows sensitivity adjustment, pre-cocking, and firing modes. The integrated status LEDs diagnose basic issues in the weapon.
Featuring a precise 6.03 mm inner barrel, the rifle enhances accuracy. It incorporates the QSC ESA2 system (quick spring exchange), enabling the installation of stronger/weaker springs without special tools. Changing the spring is hassle-free, eliminating the need for a long screwdriver; releasing the tube nut gives direct access to the QSC screw in the gearbox, which is reinforced and contains high-quality internal parts. It can handle springs up to M120, according to the manufacturer, Specna Arms, in their description of ORION gearboxes.
