Glock describes the G19X as the first “pistol crossover”. It combines the frame of Glock 17 with the compact slide of Glock 19. It differs from other models in color as well. The magazine well is not widened at the bottom like in standard Gen5 models. Instead, the frame is extended downward for shooting with tactical gloves. Due to the absence of the hole and extension in the front, Gen5 magazines cannot be used in the pistol. However, all other generations of G17 magazines are compatible.
